Background and Purpose

Background

Over past decades, the world has seen increasing shortages of energy sources, and unsustainable global energy supplies. Also, global climatic patterns have drastically changed or at least been influenced. Most scientists around the world agree to say that arctic glaciers are melting at a faster rate than previously observed. A large number of leading scientists tend to agree that the disruption of weather patterns have had dramatic impacts on wide Range of sectors: agriculture, transportation, construction, and many more industries.

Also, global warming and climate change, with their induced impacts on the earth’s atmospheric patterns and cycles, impose a new and radical approach to energy supply, usage, management and generation. In recent years, many countries have started to elaborate policies and legislative frameworks to deal with the growing challenges.

These challenges, due in part to human’s impact on the environment, have lead governments around the world to take actions to deal with this growing concern. In order to deal with these pressing issues many governments have been encouraging the promotion and the funding of some types of renewable energy technologies.

To this effect, UK government introduced the Climate Change Act in 2008. In this act, the UK government makes commitment of reducing its greenhouse gas emissions by 80 per cent by 2050. Meeting this target will mean basing much new energy infrastructure around renewable energy. This is also consider world’s first long-term a legally binding framework to tackle the dangers of climate change.

At EDManagement ltd, we believe that we have a key role to contribute in the promotion and development of green policy making, policy implementation and regulatory compliance. But more importantly, we believe that working at local level, with charities and community-based organisations could lead to more long term beneficial impact on changing of mindsets and energy consumption.

Also, we intend to support the government efforts by promoting a big shift in the use of sustainable sources of energies. Furthermore, we aim to help individuals, local community groups, small businesses, local authorities, and other energy users make an educated decision in the choice, specification, design and installation green energy systems in their properties/ offices, factories, farms, etc… could help reduce CO2 emissions and more awareness about the subject.

Finally, we believe in taking a holistic approach to deal with these challenges stands more chance to helping to encouraged greater number of individuals in embracing renewable technologies and sustainability.

Purpose

At EDManagement, we would like to play a key role in the implementation of energy efficiency and carbon reduction commitments and regulations. To this effect, we intend to work closely with relevant central government agencies, parliament, local governments, voluntary sector and other international agencies and NGOs.

Also, we believe that working at local level, with communities-based organizations, will enable us promote sustainability, and develop efficient and successful energy efficiency strategies which will have a real impact on local communities, and ensure lasting involvement of the whole community.
